Problem called MONDAY

On Monday morning on my way to work, I have the radio on. It’s 8:00 AM. The 'speaker lady,' with a cheerful voice, is comforting the listeners, saying that even though it’s Monday morning and they have to go to work (which is apparently absolutely horrible, unimaginable, dreadful… when someone bothers you with work), we just need to hang in there, because 'Friday is coming' - which means fun, doing nothing - Life.

The Essential vs. the Non-Essential

Does an animal have a nose or a snout? Is it really so essential and important to insist on the exact word when it comes to school-aged children? The child correctly identified the part of the animal’s face, but didn’t give the “right” term.  Instead of snout, they wrote nose... points deducted... disappointment... a bad grade... and to top it off, other kids laughed at them…
